I know alot of us feel the same way About the NBC midseason dropping of the amazing Show Community. The show seems like it is being put on the shelf so they can Give Chelsea Handler show a shot… Mine, Lee Rodriguez, & Ralph Garman’s Rage aside, Community IS the Lowest on the Ratings For that night.

Which is one of the Problems, The Nelson Rating system is mainly an antiquated way of determining the ratings of a TV show. The Ratings System starts off by selecting what they believe are an “average” family, so from the Start they are already skewing the results. The results have Large Numbers of the viewing Audience left out, and their Views Don’t Count.

Have Been Reading theIdeas at savegreendale.com and I Am behind the “Thank advertisers for supporting Community” idea. That’s how Chuck stayed on the air. But they also went to Subway, and Filled out those Questionnaire cards and say that the Reason they came to the store was because of Chuck. An email is nice, but knowing you spent money with them because of the show is much more powerful. The Buy the DVD’s Idea (or Downloading them off ITunes) is what Save Family Guy. NBC can’t say there are no fans for a show if they are making money on them.

I however am not Convinced that the Fortune tellers are a Good idea, a very Creative idea yes, but I believe that annoying the Heads of NBC is the wrong way to go. Like Jericho did with the Foam Peanuts to CBS really didn’t Help, and A dislike towards the Fans of the show Built up.

I think Just Hand Written letters (that’s Important), saying that you Watch the Show and that you don’t belong to any rating system. I think Politeness is the Key, and to Not Bad Mouth Whitney or the Chelsea Handler show. You never know, the person who reads these may be responsible for Green lighting them.

Hello, my name is John Patrick Harris, and I’m a Fan and Viewer of your Show Community.
I however am not a Part of any Ratings Board system and I Fear that Because, My View isn’t being counted that I will lose one of my Favorite Programs. Now this Letter Being Hand Written is Key, It personalizes it, and doesn’t it make feel like it’s just all coming one guy in his basement that has written a scripted to Spam there emails. It being a Letter, instead of the Fortune tellers, makes it seem more Heartfelt. If you want to send something more Creative, send Art work, or cards. Something that’s more than Just copy paste “creative”, you know like the Jokes in “Big Bang theory”

I think this is what we need to do to keep this amazing show going.

F**k the Lilith Fair!!

Wow, could the Re-launch of Lilith Fair be more irrelevant. I mean let’s start off with their Slogan “The Celebration of Women in Music” … that statement has a few caveats. You see all the bands on the Lilith fair are mostly all Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan clones.(two artists I personally enjoy) It’s all this fluffy Folk crap, as if to say that Women in Music can only be Soft easy listening. I don’t know, that just screams Women are weak to me. I have checked out about half the list of bands, and every song is just as “girly” as the next (not that any of them are Bad, what I heard all seem like nice relaxing music), but When the heaviest Band on the List is Selena Gomez, there is something Wrong with this picture.

And I know what some of you will say, but that’s what Lilith Fair is about, “Folk music and Lesbians” and that maybe exactly the way Sarah McLachlan Picks the acts, but then you can’t use the that Slogan, if you cast only Music of a certain kind. Yes they have Mary J. Blige, and a few other acts for a sadly token Urban R&B theme, but outside that little bit, it’s all the same.

I don’t know why this makes me so mad, maybe because I can’t stand this idea Its Forcing on the Public, or maybe it’s this kind of “girly” girl makes me sick. There are so many Bands out there with Fucking Amazing Female Singers. I could almost fill that lineup with Just the Bands I know, Tons of great Bands From hard rock to metal. Bands that show Women in music doesn’t mean Soft crap.

Now I know you’re going to say, Well the Kind of fan that would go to the Lilith fair are To soft for anything But the kind of music they are playing,… Yeah kind of the Problem I’m getting at, but with that being said there are lots of great Rock bands that can ease this kind of crowd in. Starting with my Personal Favorite Band right Now The Birthday Massacre, This band is in my top most played iTunes list, Their Lead singer Chibi is one of my favorite singers. Evanescence, no matter what you think of Amy Lee Personally the music is good. Emilie Autumn, Her theme of How Victorian women where placed in asylums for any stupid thing (very witch trial-ish) would be a perfect fit. Sarah Brightman, Her work is always amazing, from the Phantom of the Opera to Repo the Genetic Opera, Sarah is hands down one of the Best singers in the World, and her mix of classical to metal make her amazing to listen to. Guano Apes, Enjoyable hard rock, with front woman Sandra Nasić, just reformed after her short solo attempt. Flyleaf, another good Rock band that wouldn’t be hard to fit into this tours lineup, in there are most likely countless others that I’m not thinking of.

Now you can get into the Women of Metal, you can start with some of the Acts that cross between the Rock and Metal genres. Start off with my Favorite Lacuna Coil, their new album is being said to push them into the Rock genre, but their Metal to Me. plus Cristina Scabbia is one of the most beautiful Women alive and is in my list of Favorite singers. Nightwish, with the new singer, this band doesn’t have the same almost Opera like feel, but is still amazing. Tarja Turunen the former Lead singer of Nightwish, who’s vocal talent, is on par with Sarah Brightman. Within temptation, also an amazingly talented Metal band with a Beautiful voiced lead singer. Leave’s Eyes, almost like Enya set over Hard metal thrashing. Ardor, an Up and coming new metal band, with an ok mix of Singing and Death metal Scream. In This Moment, Does this a Good bit better, Maria Brink’s Vocals and Scream are an intriguing mix I can only love. Otep, This band has mix of Heavy scream, skilled vocals, and a touch of Hip-hop, their Political Theme kind of grates on me, but they write some damn catchy songs. The Agonist, Lead singer Alissa White-Gluz shows an incredible mix of Beautiful Singing talent and a Death metal scream that puts Danni Filth to shame. Also Alissa, like Cristina, is amazingly Breath taking. Arch Enemy, is a full on Death metal band that has been around long enough to of been on the past Lilith Fairs. Plus there are again countless others that I’m not aware of.

There I just listed Fifteen Bands just that alone should show what a Joke the Theme behind Lilith Fair Is. Not to mention Bands like Mindless self indulgence, the band is half female, although not the lead singer. I would put Kat and Lyn-z Up against anyone on the List of Soft ladies on that Tour. (In any way)

This was something I have felt about the Past Lilith Fairs, but with today’s Surge of Awesome Women I just can’t take it… Women have been in the Genres of Ska, Punk, rock, and metal for years for them to tap into, but they just don’t, It’s either ignorance or on purpose, but it makes their idea of women in music a Joke.

We all need to let Sarah McLachlan know She’s fucking up, she’s fucking up big time!

Dethklok!!!!

(my review of the dethklok show Thrusday, June 19, 2008 before is gets bumped of my Myspace blog)

So, last night i was lucky enough that my friends Ken, dave and joey, had an extra ticket to Dethklok the Cleveland show, at the House of Blues. so just after getting off work off we went.

the show's lineup was (for those who didn't know) Soilent green, Chimaira and Dethklok, so it was the first time i was at the house of blues in cleveland, it's a nice club felt a little small on space, a top balcony section that made it a little hard to see from all the way in the back but they had alot of tvs around that broadcasted the show, nice floor area for all the pit kind of people, (to which ken dave and joey are) i myself am the kind of guy who enjoys standing about halfway back with all the hot girls who don't want to get into that mess either

Soilent green, was the opener, they where an ok band, the where clearly skiller as a band but to me and my friends felt where just ok and not really to impressive. but not a terrible band.

Chimaira was up next, Playing to a Home town crowd, this was the first time i have heard anything from them, and it was an amazing first impression. They put alot into the show. very heavy and amazingly skilled, im definitely to look into their stuff. just and entertaining set all around

Then finally, Dethklok!!!!!!!!!! This was one of the most entertaining sets i have seen short of Insane Clown Posse (...shut up devera ). the show was pretty amazing, the live touring band of dethklok is Brendon Small, Gene Hoglan, Mike Keneally, Bryan beller. and they are amazing live. Brendon is incredible on the guitar, most of the main rifts are done by small.

the show has a screen playing behind then videos for each song, skits like the cartoon show (also playing on all the video screens around the venue) , it was fucking awesome, watching between brendon's preformence (outstanding) the video. it was one the most fun i have had at a show.

if it's still coming to your area, fucking go see it, I'm going to get to the next one that comes around without a second thought!!!!!!!!!

That you should make a list of five things you are looking in your perfected match. Your, (although Penn would never Use this word) Soulmate as it where, so I thought I would give it some thought.

Now I assume that Looks are not to be a part of this because, One would assume you are already attracted too this person to begin with.

It's pretty open to my own debate really

1. Someone who is as crazy as I am, that can deal with my weird/sick personality.

2. Someone who is Open Minded, (music, movies, religion, politics ext.) open to a lot of my strange ideas and tastes.

3. Someone who is strong, both physically and mentally (….yes I realize that contradicts first one, kind of, like is said my own debate. But a person that is strong, and can co things I think are just amazing)

4. Someone who needs help/a hand. Someone who has I guess emotional baggage you could say…. (Not sure if that would counts to #1 again, I myself have a knight in shining armor complex. Helping people I care about is my default setting.)

5. Someone who is their own person, who doesn't want to follow someone else old path (I realize that one sound like a Fortune cookie, but just someone who will be themselves, and won't let others change them to fit in and that crap)


…..I'm starting to think this is more a post on my own metal problems…..anyway


I would like to add one last thought, something I have always said, and put to when looking for someone else

my Jack Thompson rant

I posted this up a while ago, and i felt like posting it up again after finding that Jake boy got disbarred in the FL FINALLY!!!!!

I hate Jack Thompson!!!! and you should too. This guy is the Reason Howard Stern was taken off all clear channel stations. and he is prude of this facted. this guy is has gone after 2livecrew, and Ice-T for content in there music.

This is the guy who is Going after Rockstar and the GTA seires,him and Hillary Clinton. i guess she is Running for president on a Anit Videogame platform.

I'm pissed at this Man for Alot of reasons, but mostly because this Jackass, is trying too Sue/trying to get They Penny-Arcades guys arrested, which is quite true. Here is the document he faxed the Seatlle Police.

Now this Guy needs to be stopped, and i guess from what i have there is alot of people who are Trying. Alot of MySpace Groups, like The anti Jack Thompson Group, Gamers Unite Against Jack Thompson, and Help Jack Thompson Find a Hobby! Groups i have joined. Don't let People like him tell Us What we Can and can't PLAY/WATCH/LISTEN TOO/ each is a step closer to Government controll over everyones lives.

I want anyone to Simple join these groups, Go out and get Rockstars games and anything from Take 2 Games, and show that you will still Buy their product. show your support for them. Because this will also effect "25 to life" that game with Psychopathic music artists in it.

Write to the ESRB and tell them you think there rating system is Great, and that you are not happy with their caving on the GTA rating after the Hot Coffee Mode, that The rating Of "M" was more then ok for the game and that all the pressure from the media made them change to and "AO". Because if you see the sex content, it's simply laughable. "AO"="X" of the movie industry, "M"="R" now come on.....Hot Coffee is simply Stupid. but it's far from porn.
